FUTURE PARTICIPANTS

Every year, we select schools from across the world to join our competition and spend an entire week where they engage in solving industry cases and displaying their skills for industry sponsors to see. Our participants are the foundation of our competition, and as such they are selectively recruited. Our recruitment process is thoughtfully conducted and allows all interested schools to have the chance to apply for entry to our competition. Our external team works with our schools to assist with any questions they may have and to provide all necessary knowledge to simplify the process, allowing for students to focus on the competition.

Cross-Faculty Competition
Our comprehensive cases are designed to solve real life industry problems which require the collaboration of both Engineering and Commerce students. In order to be successful, students will have to develop a strategy to integrate teamwork, technical background and collaborative thought process as they work together to generate solutions and innovative ideas. It is during the case preparations that the communication channels between the two disciplines will be tested and improved.
Become a Storyteller
A skill that is often overlooked is the ability to tell a compelling story. ENGCOMM is the place to learn and practice preparing a presentation with the proper information and layout that allows students to convince judges of their solutions and to enhance their public speaking skills.

Participants are guaranteed an experience that will strengthen persistence, resilience, and grit. These valuable real-world skills come in handy across multiple areas in their careers and personal lives.
