First Year Representative

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be first-year students, either in their first or second semester of university.

Main Tasks

  • Support various teams (e.g., Marketing, Operations, Corporate Relations) based on interest and availability.
  • Assist with event planning, logistics, outreach, and day-of execution during key ENGCOMM initiatives.
  • Gain exposure to the structure and workflow of a large-scale international case competition.
  • Attend weekly team meetings and contribute to discussions across departments.
  • Provide feedback and insights from a first-year perspective to help improve engagement.

Requirements

  • Strong willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and balance responsibilities with academic workload.
  • Interest in business, engineering, event planning, or marketing.
  • Previous involvement in high school clubs or leadership roles (an asset, but not required).

PARTNERSHIPS (Director)

Main Tasks

  • Proactively identify and secure partnership opportunities with sponsors, universities, and external organizations to support ENGCOMM’s mission.
  • Represent ENGCOMM at networking events and conferences to expand its visibility and influence both locally and internationally.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with alumni and past partners to foster long-term engagement and support.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align partnership efforts with ENGCOMM’s strategic goals and initiatives.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proactive, outgoing, and team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with diverse stakeholders.
