ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA & DELEGATION STRUCTURE

ENGCOMM eligibility criteria regulations require from applicants (excluding coaches) to comply with all of the following criteria:

Program Enrollment

Applicants must be registered as an undergraduate student in an accredited degree program. While it is advisable for participants to major in engineering, business, or computer science, students from all academic disciplines are welcome to apply.

Course Enrollment

Applicants must be current undergraduate students enrolled in at least one course at their home institution during the application period and must remain enrolled through the competition. While enrollment in engineering, business, and/or computer science classes is recommended, it is not mandatory.

Institutional Representation

Participants must represent only the institution where they are currently enrolled and must not represent any other college or university.

Degree Progression Restrictions

Applicants may not have begun any coursework that contributes to a master's degree or an additional bachelor’s degree following the completion of their first undergraduate program.

Delegation Structure

Each delegation participating in the competition is allowed up to four competing students and a maximum of two coaches, bringing the total to six individuals per team. The role of the coaches, who should be either faculty members or respected industry professionals, is to mentor and prepare the students for the competition. While they are expected to provide encouragement and constructive feedback, it's important for coaches to refrain from communicating with the students during the case-solving period, which lasts until the end of the presentations.
